Lift Johnstown Supports Community Giving
On Thursday, July 9th, at 5:30 pm the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies announced that it will be granting $10,000.00 in honor of its 25th Anniversary.
"We chose this idea of $10,000 to signify our 25th Anniversary because it's never been done before," said Mike Kane, President. "This is a unique giving opportunity for the community."
In celebration of the Community Foundation's 25th Anniversary, you are encouraged to think about these questions:
What inspires or energizes you?
How would you like to make an impact?
What do you love in our community?
Please think about how you would answer these questions, then come to the 25th Anniversary Celebration prepared to support the causes that you care about with funds the Community Foundation is making available.
There will be four $2,500 drawings - $10,000 in all - to commemorate their 25th Anniversary. If your name is chosen, you can direct $2,500 into any one of their over 540 funds. Or, you could even start a fund of your own. You can also say a word about your cause if you'd like. There's only one catch: you have to be present.
Together with donors and nonprofit partners, the Community Foundation is changing our community. We hope you can join the Community Foundation at their event on July 9th at the Frank J. Pasquerilla Conference Center in downtown Johnstown.
